Senior Associate / Associate - Corporate | Law Firm
Experience: 2–5 years PQE
Practice Area: General Corporate / Corporate Transactions
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded general corporate practice, with a mix of transactional and corporate advisory experience. The role will involve advising clients across a broad range of corporate matters, while also getting exposure to domestic and cross-border transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a range of general corporate and commercial matters
- Assist with and independently handle M&A, private equity, investment and other corporate transactions
- Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents, commercial contracts and corporate documentation
- Undertake legal due diligence and assist with transaction structuring
- Provide ongoing corporate advisory to clients on day-to-day matters
- Advise on corporate governance, Companies Act and related regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with clients, internal teams and other advisors on transactions
- Manage matters independently while working closely with senior lawyers/partners
Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong experience in General Corporate / Corporate Transactions
- Exposure to a combination of transactional work and corporate advisory
- Experience at a reputed law firm is preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage matters independently and work directly with clients
- Commercially oriented with strong attention to detail
